MICE Service GroupBremen is one of Europe’s most importance aerospace locations. The European contribution to the International Space Station ISS was based at Airbus Defence & Space. At Bremen Airport City, aerospace engineers are currently working on the Ariane 5 launch vehicle. The ESA Columbus space science laboratory also has its roots in Bremen. Developed and built by Airbus Defence & Space, it flew to the ISS on board the space shuttle Atlantis in 2008.
The Columbus model shows you how the astronauts lived and carried out their research in close quarters. And of course you can take a look into the simulation and diagnostics room, from where engineers are in contact with the International Space Station.
